2008 Was The Best Year Of My Life
March 25, 2009 | Filed Under Small Talk
Most people will remember 2008 as the year the US Economy got flushed down the toilet and their 401k plans got wiped out.
Not me. 2008 was the best year of my life. My first son was born. The Phillies won the World Series. Barack Obama got elected president. And, my dad got to retire.
So, I got to celebrate the Phillies World Series victory with my new son and my retired dad, while helping to elect the first African American president (a thoughtful and seemingly wise man).
So hey, I have to admit, the economic crisis hasn’t quite hit home yet. And I’m glad that it waited and allowed me to enjoy 2008 as the best year of my life.

Hey,
Was just googling out “2008 was the best year of my life” and found this. Well for me, as a kid too it was great year.
I started improving over in the studies and getting good grades, I was with my friends I loved, I was good and began to be even more good in badminton. I won some national competitions and had chance to meet one of the biggest Businessman of this world (Mukesh Ambani’s Wife, Nita Ambani), and lots more.
Then 2009 began and withered all my happiness for me and my family, I gained diabetes on 25th January, 2009 only being 14 and then in April, I got severe leg problems, I was even unable to walk for months and severe pain.
Well, the pages of 2008 got printed hard on my mind and heart, I’ll never forget it, the last moments I’d remember when I’d die is my family and the moments of 2008.
Adios.
